More than 4 decades as a touring professional have found Michigan native and beloved folk legend Claudia Schmidt traversing North America as well as Europe in venues ranging from intimate clubs to 4,000 seat theatres, and festival stages in front of 25,000 rapt listeners. She has recorded nineteen albums of mostly original songs, exploring folk, blues, and jazz idioms featuring her acclaimed 12-string guitar and mountain dulcimer playing.
Claudia Schmidt will perform a special event night for the Folk Festival radio show, at the WDCB studios in Glen Ellyn, IL, on Tuesday, August 11, 7 to 9 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy a close-up acoustic concert with Claudia in the comfy WDCB "Living Room" followed by sitting in on her live studio spot on the Folk Festival show. There will be complimentary refreshments and free raffle drawings for great folk prizes. You'll have a chance to talk to Claudia, and her CDs will be available for purchase-- the ideal time to get autographed copies!

There is a sidewalk along the west side of the building, just under the 'bridge' or overpass. You can drop someone off right by this west entrance, but will have to park your car in the (free) lots in front of the building.
